I'm not going to say its never been down. Its just never been down for me. Xbox has been down for me twice. Nothing to make a fuss about. It was fixed the next afternoon and I just played something else in the meantime.

i love playstation and ps4 PSN has been a major improvement but its still trash
i never really cared about this too much if its fixed within a day. but if it goes into the next day i get pissed. and that only happened once when those hacks got Sony/MS
