I grew up near the hottest drug block in my city. Maybe one of the hottest in the world.

It was simply called The Hill.

I didn't even sell dope. Most of the homies did tho. But the Hill was so live that we used to just go up there any time of day or night and you were liable to see some drama if you hung out for an hour or two.

In the early 90s I laid awake sometimes hearing gunshots all night long.

These days it's about every few weeks where you hear some big shyt popping off.
