Good thread topic....Going to start with a slight derailment here...have you ever noticed how in IRL when communicating with people you have a lot of non-verbal cues to work off of that affect what you say? Its like If you say something critical and you see a look of hurt or anger flash across someone's face and/or hear it in their voice, it has an emotional impact on you as well. It changes the way you interact with them, often without you even realizing it. There's also the aspect of having to deal with the immediate social and possibly physical consequences of your words and actions from other people. People in your immediate vicinity probably know other people that you know. If you're a Prick to one of them, the word spreads and you have to deal with the consequences of being a Dikk Head many times over with other people. In addition to all that there are also things about yourself that you just wouldn't dare tell anyone in your real life social circle for fear of judgement & societal repercussions.
To answer the OP I'd say Looks & Personality are inter-twined & indeed go a long way in mirroring one another.....so yes I look like how I act,and act like how I look
I also find that I tend make a set of assumptions about the attitude and disposition of people based solely on their facial features, walking gait, how they enter a room & look around, etc. It'll be very general things like "This guy's a got a top dan black belt in faq fu/ jeet kulo " or "That guy thinks big meech". "This guy's a poptart in the middle". "That guy's definitely compensating for underwhelming genitals ". I think I'm right more than half the time when I make these assessments based on looks /outward personalities.
