Doesn't X-men coming to the MCU mean the inevitable fall of Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel?

Ironically, Captain Marvel actually has a legit shot to become Marvel's most popular female superhero, mainstream, when all the dust settles a few years from now. Mind you, it ain't like she gotta gross a billion for that to be the case either.

Right now, no x-woman is making a billy or even Wonder Woman money, solo, without major rework. They (and Sue Storm) all got their mainstream popularity being ancillary sidekicks, sought after conquests/thots, or flat out maguffins for the males.

So Carol being a blank slate to the general audiences can be a big advantage if they use KSD's run (sassy blonde) and not Bendis' run (military prick). I wouldn't bet money on it but I wouldn't be surprised either
