Name me an album or producer that used that style of sampling before 36 Chambers. And then look at the producers now that it heavily influenced like Kanye, Just Blaze, Alchemist etc.

And please respond in complete sentences. Thanks.

Dre and Cold 187.

The realest post in this thread.

I mean come on

"I bomb atomically, Socrates philosophies and hypotheses can define how I be droppin' these mockeries, lyrically perform armed robbery..." That might literally be one of the greatest opening line in rap next to or possibly even above "I ain't a killer but don't push me,...." Wu Tang was both rap and hip hop, both backpacker and street, embodied all the principles of hiphop, we comparin that to a DPG album? :what:

EDIT: Thinking of the wrong album, but still:

C.R.E.A.M
M.E.T.H.O.D. Man
Protect Ya Neck
Bring da Ruckus

What's f*ckin' with dat? :rudy:
What's so great about this?

Dre and Cold 187.

I don't think the other guy was saying RZA was the first person to adjust the pitch on a sample, but RZA developed an easily identifiable signature sound and Kanye and Just and them have cited the influence on their production.

I'll keep it 100 (like I always do)...

I got 36 Chambers in my car rhett na. When I listen to it, the only cuts I gotta hear are:

"C.R.E.A.M."
"Clan In The Front"
"Method Man"
"Shame On A N*gga"
the first verse of "Tearz"

...and that's if I feel like listening through the skits.
What is the damn deal with all the skits, yo? Play the damn music!

I can play Dogg Food straight down.

Sure he was.
