I dunno what Daz did between The Chronic and Doggystyle, but holy hell it was such a transformation. shyt just listening to Dogg Food is revolutionary in itself sonically, and that album is pushing 30.

yeah Dogg Food imo is the best album to from the west coast. It’s G Funk perfected. That album or Doggystyle for sure

I remember when Dogg Chit was finally released and thought that it was going to restore the feeling....nope
. Dogg Food is like the magnum opus of Death Row on so many levels and even the Dogg Pound's discography. That album had it all from Boom Bap to West Coast G Funk. It was mind blowing and was consistent compared to most Death Row albums at the time.

Lodi Dodi is one of the most fun songs to rap along to
Hell yea, I remember when The Chronic came out and video dropped for Nothin But A G Thang on MTV and BET. There was nothing like it. The bass was infectious with Dre and Snoops smooth raps over them signature keys.
I can remember blasting High Powered, RBX laying the vocals, Rage in the background, and the bass and keyboards just floating.
