Yea, This album was mind blowing when it was released. If you remember all the stores couldn’t even keep it stock it was selling so fast. I think they tried to give away Illmatic and couldn’t lol My favorite song off Doggystyle don’t even have Snoop on it



Still one of the best albums ever created though.

Personally I always felt Doggystyle was overrated

The Chronic is the overrated one not Doggystyle.

Yeah apple and oranges. At the end of day we're talking about two classic albums so if somebody prefers one over the other then that's how they feel. Same with any two classics. Like somebody saying they prefer ATLiens over The Infamous or Madvillainy over It's Dark and Hell is Hot. If that's how they feel then that's how they feel. It's all personal preference and which one resonates with you more I guess.

But if we are gonna be forced to compare them, then Illmatic has a lot more depth than Doggystyle IMO.
