They piss inside. I put their nose in it and take them outside soon as I notice.

The puppy stage is awful but temporary
For crate training, every time he has to go in there , reward him with a treat. Yeah he'll act a fool and whine but he'll get used to it. Eventually he will associate it with treats and treat it like his little den. Make sure you have comfortable mats/blankets in there and a cover you can place over the top to make his den more comfortable.
For potty training, you have to take him outside often. No pee pads.If you catch him going in the house , rub his nose in it while loudly saying "No!" and immediately take him outside. Anytime he does go outside successfully give him plenty of praise "Good job Buddy!" And pets and treats if you remember to bring them.
If the only problem with the dog is potty training, you should definitely keep him.

With a puppy you gotta take them out every 30-45 minutes and then praise them when they use the bathroom outside. I've had dogs my entire life and I never remember using pee pads.

Never get your kids a dog, because you're always going to be the one who has to deal with its shyt. Shoulda got a cat. You throw that mf in the litter box one time and thats where it shyts. Sure cats get the zoomies at night and get the meowing like a mf but for the most part they on chill. Put a couple cat trees in the house, some cardboard boxes and you good.
