I was literally . When I walked into a Dollar Tree and saw they where selling streaks and ribs.

they need to have a video on YouTube showing every step of how they came up with that lol

One of the dollar trees around me started selling higher stuff months ago,on the outside the store looked the same but inside they added so much stuff that everything was so junked up

I didn't look all around but it had things that were either 1,3 or 5 dollars

Stuff like toys for 5 and shirts for 5

It's set up wrong though cause most of the stuff didn't have prices on it so when I got to the register they charged so many random prices

Lol they have a lot of really old shows like bonanza lone ranger and stuff I haven't heard of but I don't buy them

They actually have recent stuff too like the other day they had a stack of the first season of lethal weapon the fox series,I've also seen shows like Bates motel,justified,the office and a lot of others

The key is to catch them when they putting the new stuff out

I got three dollar trees around where I live that let me know when they about to get movies in

I guarantee nobody said this. It's Dollar Tree, you get whatever $1 shyt they have at the moment and go.

They did this shyt years ago with 99 Cents Only Stores on the West Coast (using the same fake ass talking point) and now they sell a bunch of low quality bullshyt for like $3.99 & up that nobody asked for- I'm talking poorly made, abysmal shyt too. Stuff that a consumer would actually be worse off buying from them rather than going up the road and getting the same thing from Walmart or Aldi for the same or even a little less. Or worse, expensive name brand products that no one going there was checking for in the first place (like Tide Pods).

This business model really only works on people who live in incredibly rural or underserved areas (that also lack public transportation) where that so-called dollar store is truly the nearest thing to them for many miles so folks are forced to rely on them for almost everything.

How to shut down a business 101....

It literally defeats the purpose of going to a Dollar Tree if the shyt is more than $1.....

I feel for the people this is going to negatively impact and I'm sorry to see them go this route because as a broke as shyt college student I basically LIVED off Dollar Tree. I could be on my last $10-$15 and walk out of there with enough to keep me fed for several breakfasts and dinners until payday. It wasn't the greatest quality but it was still way better than trying to survive off endless packs of ramen and sadness.

For about $13 I could get:

1 carton of eggs
1/2 gallon of milk
1 4pk of margarine
1pk of Farmer John breakfast sausages
1pk Jennie O turkey bacon
1 can of spaghetti sauce
1 bag of pasta
2 Jennie O turkey burger patties
1 bag of frozen bell peppers & onions
3-4 frozen burritos
Some lunch meat and a bag of chips.
