Dollar Tree’s $9 Billion Problem: Family Dollar Isn’t Paying Off

The closest store to me period is a Family Dollar. I was praying that DG won the bidding war cause I just knew they were going to close that location and replace it with a DG.

I rarely go in there but when I do I always say never again.

I was at my nephews apartment in Orange (about 10 mins from Newark). They put one just outside of where they took the projects down maybe a decade ago. In what is pretty rough ghetto still. People go hard in there and are happy to have a nice clean place to buy essentials. Seems like a smart move.

Nah ... unless this family dollar acquisition fux up Dollar Tree, I definitely see Dollar Tree still standing . Them shyts stay packed . Especially since they added the frozen food and take EBT. The streets gotta eat.


Family Dollar is only good for convenience tho ... if no other store is in the vicinity .

Family Dollar is failing due to their pricing. Nothing more to say. Dollar General will phase them out in the next decade so no loss.
