To be fair, anyone who knows their border situation knows it’s easy as fukk to cross back and forth between the two countries and not need paperwork or a passport or anything. You wouldn’t know they were 2 separate countries. It’s like crossing from the Bronx to Mount Vernon. Some form of a border is absolutely necessary, but no different than a border that separates any other two countries.
if anything, having a border is something where both countries should wholeheartedly be in agreement and work on it together. Actually have an infrastructure where there isn’t so much confusion as to where you’re at and what your rights are, cuz that can get real dicey.

As a dominican, i won't defend that. They should deport them back to their country, which is DR. Maybe the real problem is the corruption in the Haitian government, maybe the Haitian elite (that is mostly white and lightskin btw) should stop abusing the haitian people and stealing all the resources and money in Haiti. Maybe THEY should be held accountable for the situation their country is going through.
Haiti has the worst and the most criminal upper class in the world and nobody wants to talk about that.
