That’s what I’m interested in. There was a small altercation in the area Pedernales last week where a Haitian man was shot and killed by a border agent. I think the major difference is this was spearheaded by government organizations and officials.

Usually I hear the normal ramblings of Haitian invasion in passing but I’ve hardly seen open governmental support and multi organizational mobilization.

So I'm guessing that means that the Dominican Republic is going to go very fascist very soon.

So the previous president Danilo Medina was outright called a traitor on Saturday because of his administration policies even though he repealed their birthright citizenship.

A story about a mother who enrolled her child into school and her child was one of two Dominicans in a classroom size of 23. This story garnered a lot of outrage

Haiti has never been as destabilized in my lifetime, as it is now. Even the oldest people in our families have never seen it this bad.

Backlash from the people who share the island was inevitable, as our problems spill over and become their problems.

I was honestly waiting for this to happen, I am always in DR and told wifey that the Dominicans are going to start protesting because the massive influx of Haitian residents. The Haitians are taking over and the manual labor jobs are pretty much dominated by Haitians. All new construction buildings are pretty much Haitians, I dont mind it personally because there I have a confort zone with fellow black people but DR has been trying to stop the influx of illegal immigrants and it seems they are losing the fight at this point.
