Doc and Darryl? I grew up a Mets fans and NO. Doc was hot for like a 3 year stretch. Mattingly was idolized by every little leaguer in the state. LT might have been more popular.

Ahhh that year was magical. during that HR stretch I remember watching the game every night just to see if he would hit one out. My friends would be outside chilling and I was like "I'm going to watch the game, I'll be right back".
