Yeah right Doc K and Darryl and LT were to busy running NY please to even make that statement it is laughable
Doc and Darryl? I grew up a Mets fans and NO. Doc was hot for like a 3 year stretch. Mattingly was idolized by every little leaguer in the state. LT might have been more popular.

This dude was a god.

Back injuries are the worst. :to:

I always felt bad that he didn't get a ring, just missed it. Also loved playing with Mattingly in 1988's NES game MLB:

Tell me about it. My favorite player growing up and that lack of a ring is the only reason the scumbag hall of fame voters don't have him in. If this guy could've held on just one more season.
The 96 Yankee team that won the year after he retired still bothers the shyt outta me

Ahhh that year was magical. during that HR stretch I remember watching the game every night just to see if he would hit one out. My friends would be outside chilling and I was like:camby: "I'm going to watch the game, I'll be right back".
Aaahhh the memories:banderas:

Donnie Baseball. Baseball was bigger than Football in the 80s (at least in my circles).
