I talked to my co-workers about Game of Thrones and shyt like that. I try to avoid race related discussions. Nothing good can come out of these types of discussions at work. I have a temper and i'm already suspicious of white folks so.....l don't engage some types of conversations.

i avoid race convos with whites.....i already know how they think and i don't need them to slip up and for me to lose controlled and do something regrettable....its best to feed them with a long spoon and keep as much distance as possible even the cool ones

Dawg, I grew up in Pittsburgh and came up in predominantly white suburbia...I've already had a good amount of incidents where I heard them slip up in front of me and try to apologize...or they saw me and tried to change up their words when they realized I saw them slipping. I've had those types try to tell me what to do and how to think as well. I've had some of those types even try to fight me while drunk.

I used to have many white friends back then from grade school to college and shyt...you could even consider me that dreaded "token black guy" back then...I woke up and I really don't talk to or associate with any of them now.

I haven't watched TV in almost 6 years...why? I was sick of the stupidity, senselessness and constant racism of it. I was taking media studies courses in college back then. I just got tired of watching TV shows that I couldn't relate to that had majority white casts and black shows I couldn't relate to where the characters were like cartoon characters. That shyt went off and it's been off. I don't watch sports either or care for them so I have no use for a television and haven't owned one in that same time frame.

As well, I don't watch or care for movies. I see all these ads in the subway station for all of the movies and TV shows and have no idea what they're about and have no concern or plausible reason to even care to watch them. If it wasn't for the internet, I wouldn't of even known about Game Of Thrones, Breaking Bad or whatever...

So really, I just have nothing really to talk about other than music and fashion, and most people just see me and have trouble even trying to approach me in any sort of conversation (either because I scare them one way or another or don't know what to make of me cause I'm not the "predictable black guy" type) so they don't even bother. I personally like working without anybody trying to make conversation with me.
