I get that. Obamacare is not the answer though and we SEE it driving prices up while insurance companies are LEAVING the plan cause they ain't making any money. I don't know what you mean by free market because if the US healthcare system DID go to a free market system it would be better for all us. There are generic CHEAP pharmaceutical drugs being made in places like India that we can't even get in the states because of regulations behind patents and shyt like that. Right now you got patents lasting for 30 yrs or whatever it is and the FDA taking 10 yrs to approve new drugs even though ppl in foreign countries been using them for ever etc.

ACA isn't the cause of those rising prices - prices were always rising and higher. ACA slowed that down. The problem with our healthcare system is that it's profit motivated. And by free market, Trump seems to believe that deregulation and letting companies compete across state lines would result in lower prices and better quality healthcare. Further, there are a whole host of reasons for why we shouldn't be importing reverse engineered drugs from places like India just because they're cheap. The PDMA, despite the side effect of seemingly protecting manufactures, is sensible. We can counter that negative side effect by better regulation of manufacturer-set pricing.

I have blue cross blue shield and I do not know much about obamacare, but some people who have it have told me that they should get rid of it bc it doesn't cover stuff they need. They still can't afford medicine and certain tests with it. I was told that a lot of doctors are refusing to accept obama care. I was told that hospitals had to merge bc of it. I was told that more people who were kind of poor but not poor enough to get obama care had to buy insurance that they couldn't afford. I was also told that before oboma care people could go to "the county" and get help without insurance or a medical card, but they can't anymore bc of obamacare. I was also told that obama said the obama care isn't working as well as he thought it would and he apologized for it. This person was in an arguemtn with me, so they could've just been saying anything to make themselves seem right like they usully do. Idk though.
