Again this guy goes on national TV and tells a compulsive lie and they just let him do it. He should have shot it down in the first place but he instead lies then carries the lie for days only to back out what he said he'd do.
This guy is a proven con artist.
If you believe Romney's ex campaign advisor, then it should be enough to tell you what Trump is about. During the 2012 campaign, they claim Trump begged to endorse him and to quote said "You really need to play up the birther thing, because it really riles up the right wing crazies". That says it all about how Trump views this.
The problem is, that despite that, his followers don't care. He can tell lie after lie and they will not care. For some reason though, I continue to see pundits on TV act all aghast and perplexed on the "crudeness" and "lowness" of Trump as if it wasn't already known.
Democrats need to stop with the self-righteous outrage and start to find out how to fight the reality of what type of candidate Trump actually is, not what they believe he should act like.
He is a pure opportunist even more so than probably the average establishment candidate. That is why I find it hilarious dudes are like "He can't be bought, he is anti-establishment" simply because he has not had any political experience. This dude has the personality that implies he will sell out the country to make a "Great deal". He has no core or principles, just whatever is politically and financially expedient and rewarding.
