I voted $10 months ago.

I heard it has something to do with the freedom the site gives which is free information but also the ability to make changes to the info being posted.

Without the money I think Wikipedia would no longer be open to the public with free access.

They have more than enough money to last them more than 10 years if their cash flow stopped.

I'll donate again if they're in trouble, but I'm not gonna donate when they have so much money.

From what I understand, a lot of the money doesn't actually go to the costs of hosting Wikipedia. It goes to the Wikimedia foundation, and they spend a lot of the money on random other products unrelated to Wikipedia they're trying to make. The more people donate, the more they are spending on shyt unrelated to Wikipedia itself instead of putting it in a Wikipedia endowment.
