Eh this doesn't work as much

NFL oldheads don't relentlessly shyt on modern players nearly to the degree that NBA oldheads do.

NFL oldheads give as much praise or more than they do criticism
Nobody care about nfl old heads to even put a mic to their face

john salley is about as popular as 90% of nfl players from the 90s. Dude was the 8th man lol

What young nikkas don't understand is the competitiveness of the 90s era shyts on this new era

Skill and athleticism mean nothing if there's no competitive fire

LSU vs Iowa and UConn vs USC was more compelling than the modern game bc of the competitiveness and how they left it all on the floor

No one will ever convince me that the buddy ball of today is a better product than 90s & 00s, NFL & NBA

Better product or better players are different things.

Boxing is the best example, knockout artists and hard hitters are far better product for the general public than skilled defensive boxers. That doesn't necessarily mean that they are better boxers.

dont really see this being that big of movement
nfl fans dont sit around and talk about the same damn 2 people as goats of the sports as much as bball fans do

That’s because intrinsically no football player effects winning or losing like a superstar nba player

80's and 90's was peak football as far as rules were concerned. Defensive backs were still allowed to be physical but not maul the receivers all over the field like the 70's and 60's. When the Patriots defense whooped the Colts on 04, Bill Polian cried to the league and had the rules changed. Now Receivers have it easier to run routes and get open than ever before. Receivers don't have to be at least 6'1 200 lbs anymore and shorter faster guys are able to play more. One thing I like is the league taking away the head hunting safeties used to do on receivers back in the day.
