Breh we've had opportunities to score some runs with or at least not face 2 outs men on a few times. If we bat Torres 3rd that's almost a guaranteed run in the first inning. They were scared to pitch at Torres all game. If you put Hicks and Urshela ahead of Gardner and EE I just feel we would have been in better spots to do damage.

They lost the game by letting Cole off the hook early. The ball being changed isn't even much of an excuse because the Yankees were good at situational hitting, until now. Everyone is hitting the wall except maybe DJ and Torres. This is specifically on the offense. The Astros aren't even hitting well either and we've gotten essentially B performances from Verlander and Cole (for them anyway). I can't even destroy the pitching. Last inning was the first inning where Yankee pitching gave up more than 1 run in any inning this postseason.
Ottavino better be get really good at sharing secrets with Harkey because he shouldn't pitch anymore this series.

Sure the bats are letting us down, but that decision to start Ottavino took away any hope of coming back. Goes back to game 2, Green wasn’t struggling. Kahnle just got out of an inning with no issues.
