Your management is separate from your HR department, which means that yes for the purposes of your job those surveys are indeed anonymous. I wouldn't worry about it unless you're just saying wild shyt in there. Normal people should be able to determine whether what you're saying will be fine or not.

It should be anonymous tho, and it's ultimately not.

Just mark down the lowest or highest possible answer that'll warrant a response and if they allow you to type in for more information out your name and department and request a formal interview. Been doing that for 10 years.

Ive even called their bluff and talked to the director and hr and it's always "well it's an independent operated feedback survey, so since it's not directly us, we aren't in a position to have an open meeting about......"
