I don't believe that. Even in a couple of those backstage videos before their heel turn, you could see they were trying to make the New Day something with a bit of a darker side.

I think the Mania and post-Mania crowds shytting on them gave them the juice and now they're having fun with it. I don't think Xavier would have been saying this in January or February.
