I was at the store early one morning getting rillos for my wake and bake and saw one of my old heads getting coffee. We started walking and talking and I get outside and notice a huge old tractor hitched to his truck.

It was extremely old, the kind they don't even make anymore. It didn't even work. It belonged to a man who had passed a few years back and his wife just wanted it out of the yard. He told me he spent 800 bucks on it. I asked him if he was going to try to fix it or something. He said nah. So I'm like why did you spend 800 bucks on it. He told me that when he chops it up and takes it to the metal recycling center (junk or scrap yard for all the country boys) that tractor is about 12 to 15000 dollars in metal.

That's the kind of wisdom and smarts that get lost when you don't have strong fathers and grandfathers as part of your culture.

I know another guy who started advertising delivery of large appliances like washers and dryers. Whereas stores like Lowe's or home depot would charge you 100 he would only charge 50. Those places would also charge a disposal fee for getting rid of your old appliances, he didn't charge anything for that.

He would take the old appliances to the scrap yard immediately and get anywhere from 50 to 100 for each piece (depending on what they were made of).

This was his full time job

I think this thread should be us sharing little side hustles, and things like that, that can be done with little overhead and scaled up into a valuable business. We might inspire one of the younger brehs to actually try their hand and make something of themselves.

My younger cousin was a beast with the computers. No college all self taught. I needed a basic website for my business so I called him up and he whipped me up something real quick. I agreed to give him 200 bucks a month to maintain it and update it as needed. Not really a lot of work.

I put him on to some of my friends who also owned small businesses and he gave them the same deal. At one point he was managing 6 websites, 7 including mine bringing in 1400 a month for something he was doing in his spare time outside of his full time job.

Eventually, he made a portfolio of his work, set up a github, and got testimonials from me and some of the other business owners and got a web developer job starting at 50k a year with no college degree.

If you're decent at film editing/ production, I have friends who are realtors and the new wave is video tours of houses.

They put a qr code on the "for sale" sign and it takes you to a video walkthrough of the house. It saves the realtor time because many deal breakers in the house can be seen ahead of time and saves them the hassle of scheduling a walkthrough for someone who doesn't like the layout of the house.

It can be done with an iphone and a halfway decent computer for editing.

It's a fairly new hustle so there's no set price but I've heard of people getting 100 bucks a video. And if you have an established relationship with a realtor, they usually have a bunch of houses available to show

I'm inspired as fukk but with no real skills, I need to learn something ASAP.

Come up with a service where you do something for someone they could do for themselves but choose not to.

You'll never go broke betting on the laziness of the average American. Look at grub hub, door dash, and instacart. They've made millions charging a premium for things people could easily do for themselves

Bottomline, it's easier now than ever before to start a business, generate revenue, etc. If these IG and cam girls can rake in 5 and 6 figures with no discernible talent then surely there's a hustle out there for you.

And you don't even have to show ass or buss it wide open :dame:
I just want to mention, in addition to your admonition, that don’t look at those IG women too closely. Especially comparing your situation with or to theirs.

just go out there and make it happen, don’t think about social media...

I AIN'T AS HARD AS YOU THINK.

EVERYONE AIN'T BUILT FOR THAT LIFE THOUGH. IF YOU CAME IN HERE AND THE FIRST THING OUT YOUR MOUTH IS "BUT IT AIN'T THAT EASY" THAT LIFE PROBABLY AIN'T FOR YOU.

YOU EITHER THINKING ABOUT HOW HARD IT WILL BE OR THINKING ABOUT HOW YOU CAN DO IT. YOU CAN'T DO BOTH AT THE SAME TIME. MAKE YOUR CHOICE.

for real. that's the new wave.

imagine a service that people need to get done, but takes time out of their work day or leisure time.

taking pets to the vet, dry cleaning, lawn mowing, etc.

offering that service because people don't want to do it would work.

or, you can undercut other businesses that already offer services. e.g. grocery stores who will offer to do your groceries for you for a certain fee.
you could do it for a cheaper than the grocery store does it.

or maybe there a bunch of seniors in a retirement community who get their medications every month from the pharmacy but don't want to travel. you could get their authorization to get their medication and deliver it to them at a fee.
