I feel like I haven’t heard a good explanation of the pick other than “Pitts is a generational talent”. Well…doesn’t fukking matter if he can’t get the ball.

And Matt’s looked washed / like a scheme QB for a minute.

Someone please break down how this wasn’t a huge fukk up betting on him???

It’s week 1 guys.

It’s like week 64 of this shyt with Matt Ryan breh. He’s just not that good. The offense struggles in the red zone year after year after year. At some point a franchise QB has to make some shyt happen and he doesn’t. Dude isn’t it. All these weapons all these years and dude hasn’t been shyt without Shanahan’s scheme. He’s not that great of a decision maker nor does he have that accuracy. It’s easy to hit dudes on play action boots wide open but he’s never been the type to pick a zone apart or embarras CBs in man. He’s just not that good.

Have we not seen enough of Matt Ryan?

I been done with Matt Ryan but these are the hottest of takes. Fields might wind up being subpar. Pitts might be the next Antonio Gates. Either way we ain’t winning shyt this year. :yeshrug:

i agree, but we know who Matt Ryan is and we don’t know who Fields is yet. The WR core is net weaker without Julio so how do these moves make any sense? The only possible explanation is money and cap moves (admittedly not up on that like some brehs), but I haven’t seen a good explanation there either.

like…what the fukk is the vision for this team?

At this point I’m embracing the rebuild. Some people are throwing out Cam Newton as a pickup but I don’t see the point. We trash

I understand that Nagy is under a lot of pressure to win. He will probably lose his job no matter what once the season ends.

But I think there have been enough flashes of the upside that Justin Fields brings, to the point that it is worth letting him go out there and struggle.
Fields doesn't have many receiving options and his RBs have been hurt all season.

But he can throw the football and he is mobile.
The Bears DO need to protect him better. 31 sacks in 10 games (8 starts) is a recipe for disaster.
I just think he needs more of a chance to progress. If Fields is destined to ride the bench for the rest of the season, then I think he needs to come into the 2022 season with the job being his to lose.

I was super high on Field but I’m not gon lie he ain’t it. He’s raw as fukk he looks like someone who got by just having god given ability but that catches up to you. I’m not saying he’s not goin to get better but he needs to work on his game a lot.

and the thing about young QBs who struggle is that the blame always goes to the head coach, Offensive line, or receivers and it take a couple of years of trying to put talent around them to realize it wasn’t them it was the QB

Fields is the starter though
