Feel bad for some of the controllers out there in EWR. Being forced to move when you didn’t want to, then gotta deal with chitty equipment where you lose comms and radar on aircraft for periods of time.

Thatd make me wanna take some “trauma/sick leave” as well.

I’m all for rail… but I think planes are still safer than trains for long distances based on stats :manny:
I think people would feel safer on trains because, if the train derails the passengers have a chance to survive the crash.


It seems like with most commercial airliner planes crashes, when they crash, pretty much everybody on the plane dies.


With that being said, Amtrak had a bunch of crashes throughout their history where people got killed, but a lot of people on the train survived as well. Also "Positive Train Control" improved train safety a lot.
