:comeon: Losing Plax is a non-starter. Dude would have been the 5th WR trying to win a spot on the 53 man roster.

And fukk outta here with that old "Steeler defense is old" shyt. Its the lazy man's argument against the Steelers. They were #1 in total D last year and picked up Jarvis Jones in the first and Shmarko Thomas (who looks like a stud Safety)
I'm pretty optimistic about our younger players on D.

Jones
Thomas
Allen
Heyward
Golden
McLendon
Ta'amu

I think the memo that our ends will be allowed to rush the qb more will benefit a guy like Ziggy Hood more than just having him try to be Aaron Smith. I'm more worried about offensive play-calling:yeshrug:

Bell's been looking good by all accounts. RB coach said he hasn't had any mental mistakes at all so far. Should see him in the 2nd preseason game. Sat out the 1st with knee discomfort. They added a zone blocking scheme for the running game. Starting line will probably be Adams/Foster/Pouncey/DeCastro/Gilbert. If everyone can remain healthy it should be pretty decent. The depth is a concern though

But that's the thing you fans are talking about a bunch of unproven players and what ifs. Not saying they are gonna suck or anything but I just can't see anything past 8-8 or 9-7 and you won't get Wild Cards with that record this year.

Cincinatti and the Ravens have more stability at this point. Also I like Big Ben but that offensive line is knocking years off this dudes career.

Defense is typically well coached but you got a lot of unproven youth and over the hill players on defense. Be objective, can you guys really say with a straight face that you are better than the Ravens and an ascending Bengals team.

Not a fan.

but lets play the greatest game in armchair quarterbacking..."lets check the schedule :youngsabo:"

TN - L
@cinci - W
chicago - Tossup
@minn - tossup
@NYJ - W
Baltimore - Tossup
@Oakland - W
@NE - Tossup
Buffalo - W
Detroit - :beli:
@CLE - W
@Bal - L
Miami - W
Cinci - W
@GB - L [its december in GB]
Cle - W

So, easily 9 wins, and they'll probably beat chicago and baltimore at home...roethisberger was pretty prolific in scoring considering he played 13 games.

They're officially my sleeper if they'd qualify as that.

I hate to break this to you... But Tennessee is whoopin that ass week 1 brehbreaux :youngsabo:

Pittsburgh won't even finish positive this year. Get outta here. Aging defense that SUCKED last year. Rookie receiving corp isn't getting it done.

Yes, I know Brown and Sanders aren't actually rookies. I hope they do well cuz I like both of them but I dont see Pitt doing shyt. Cinci is winning that division. Ravens lost too much in the off season and to injury. Pitt isn't what it once was.

First off if you've gotta bring up the Sapp 'Old Defense' shyt, gtfo this thread.
NaeI7.jpg

That nikka said that shyt for the past 3 years and we finished #1 overall
8pzq.jpg

This year he finally admitted out D is young again and will surprise a lot of people.
:dry:

With that said. Our D line is improved from last year just on experience and health alone. Our LB core is better on health and contact years alone. Yea we lost Deebo, but he was hurt all of last year and didn't do shyt. Woodley is back to being Woodley. So as a whole our LB core is better.
:yes:

Our Dbs are older. But dependable...sometimes lol. Troy was hurt most of last year so if he even plays the whole year thats an improvement

So our D is looking better

Oline is improved despite the shytty performance Monday. They are healthy for once

RBs is an improved situation vs the one we were in last year. At least we're prepared this year for the questions. Dwyer has looked good in camp. Bell also but he's out a month. We just signed Felix Jones from Phily in a trade. Not too worried about RB

WRs...get off the media hype of losing Wallace. He was a 1 trick pony and struggled last year. Theres a reason why Brown got the contract and not him.Then we have Sanders who will be introduced to the world this year...theres a reason why the Cheatriots wanted him bad. Dude has hands and is quick out his breaks. Wheaton was the WR steal of the draft. Our Rookie FAs and 2nd/3rd year practice squad players are all the truth. After we make our cuts, they will get on a 53 man elsewhere.

Just to venture off a lil, 1 thing ive noticed considerably about the Steelers is that the national media doesn't know shyt about our depth year in and year out. Every time they blow up us losing somebody they find themselves correcting themselves at the end of the year on some 'Thats the Steelers being the Steelers, great team depth, always a guy ready to step in' type shyt. And they havn't learned yet.WTF. Do they not investigate our depth or ask our scouting department about our players. Its like all they do is look at Madden Ratings.
:snoop:

Honestly, we are in a wayyyy better position going into this season than we were last year. nikkas saying our team is old need to stop repeating shyt other nikkas say and investigate yourself. Theres a reason why 1 random 8-8 season is considered a HUGE disappointment for the Burgh while its a positive season for the most of the leagues teams.

Last 2 times I remember coming into a season like this we went to the Super Bowl, and won 1 of them. Which is why yall should never go on the media hype regarding the Burgh, whether if its positive or negative

This nikka said our defense is aging? And then had the nerve to call the #1 defense of 2012, terrible?!?

Pittsburgh will always be a threat to call the defense garbage is straight trolling. Division is wide open I wanna say B-More but I have no confidence in these scrubs at WR right now.

While they very well might win@ cincy and @ Cleveland, those games are far from shoo in w's, and I think they are more likely to lose both those rather than win both those. Also the raiders, even though they are ass, get the steelers traveling out west in a sandwich spot after the ravens game and before the pats game.
