I never understood why people opposed voter ID laws.

Mind you, im assuming (i know) Voter ID Laws = Someone being required to have a photo ID with them in order to vote. That is common practice in the entire world. The focus should be to eliminate voter ID cards, period.

Everyone of age should be able to vote regardless of criminal background. They shouldnt have to prequalify you to vote. That comes when you went to the DL office and got issues your license or Passport. If you have a drivers license or any state/federal issued ID this SHOULD mean you are a legal resident of said state and therefore should be able to vote in it.

It should have been down. Somebody ask me if I knew about this and I didn't even troll. My gut reaction was "So?". Shut down the convo real quick :russ:

The flag don't matter because the real problem has been made virtually invisible. And most of the people that see it deny it. We're just making racism more transparent. All that attitude about stars and bars is now just being locked away in a few stars on the current american flag. But it's still there. Keep it invisible! Right?

Just the fact that the flag was still flying. We are always worried about the smallest shyt instead of tackling the bigger issues. Not saying the flag isn't very offensive, but there are def bigger issues
That's not true. This flag has been an issue, in the south at least, for as long as I've been on this Earth. The shyt has never, ever been cool. We've been echoing the same shyt for so long, it might seem like we were pushing this hard recently but it's been one of many issues. That flag hasn't been put over the more pressing issues.

Hell, I don't give a fukk about the flag honestly, it helps me identify bytch ass racists. It's their calling card. It should never be on federal grounds though, that's just ignorant.

Baby steps man.

This debate has given black people an opportunity to state the symbolism of that flag, which gives us a platform to discuss race and maybe convince a few people about why this flag is symbolic of oppression.

Any time you have one side of the aisle getting to listen to your point of view is a good thing. A lot of people who want it up will stick to their guns, but others might take a moment to reflect on the systematic mindsets that are limiting to black people in this country.

Out here in my damn drawls
The flag issue is a classic deflection. I live in walking a 5 minute walking distance from that shyt. I can go up there and take it down myself when I get home. These cacs want to make it like it's on the levels of the Berlin Wall :beli:

"We" have real domestic terrorism to deal with amongst other shyt. Let them have their flag debate. Liberal cacs get to pat themselves on the backs and conservacacs can pretend like they're making strides in regards to race in time for the elections :camby:
