art imitates life.

and music on a professional level is made to make companies money. made to make these young boys famous so they can get real money doing ads, commercials, get in movies, tv,reality shows, etc.

its a BUSINESS. the business says, you make the music that people want to hear.

There are people making solid music right now as we type back and forth yet only 1000 or so people even know who these people are. thats a shame. but thats because their music does not fit the strip club/trap/autotune narrative.
which is chosen by WOMEN strippers.

the strippers could say no i want better music. but of course they dont and wont. they are stripping, drunk, high and they aint in love with the genre like that. so they have a who cares attitude. as long as i can dance and sing along to it.

so the rappers have to put out a product that will make companies money.

women dictate the market. the market doesnt dictate itself.

there was a time when the market was men, and we would tell the rappers what we wanted to hear. and they woudl give us that.

Since when has a stripper's opinion ever been considered valid on anything other than the best song to twerk to?

That's his whole point. Those songs strippers choose to twerk to is what gets pushed to the top. If you don't have a presence in that lane you'll have a hard time becoming a mainstream artist. And the exceptions often get criticized for not getting play in the club/streets. That wave of club driven Crunk and snap music from the mid 2000s changed the market.

I know his point but it doesn't make any sense. Nobody gives a shyt about stripper's opinions. Kids and earworms drive the market. That's why songs from vine that get played over and over hit number 1 on the charts.

That song Nasty by T-Wayne is a goddamn abomination and no stripper twerked to that but kids sure made dances off of it which goes to your last point.

I will, however, concede that there are a lot of songs I learned just because of youtube twerkers. Few were ever hits, though.

If nobody cared about strippers opinions half the artists blowing wouldn't blow. Especially those who have been a part of this wave of Southern artists of the last decade plus because that's where records are introduced.

I agree kids push songs to top the charts but those viral phenomenons usually epitomize one-hit wonder. I don't even think I heard that T-Wayne song personally and I doubt we'll hear from him again. Then again a lot of club driven artists don't last much either.

I'll concede kids is who these label execs are going after first but I can't say strippers tastes don't matter when a good deal of artists try to break their records in at clubs and gauge the reaction of the dancers and dudes throwing money at them. If anything there's some degree of intersectionality.

It doesn't bother me that he's a knock off Future clone. That was to be expected at some point.....

It's just kinda shocking that East Coast people who complained about the South rap reign are embracing this dude while cats who can real spit like Dave East don't get nearly the amount of shine or love

The dumbing down of the culture. Cats have a hard time comprehending a 16 bar verse w/o singing.

damn you right bruh:ohhh:

:ohhh:LITERALLY, what can future say:ohhh::ohhh::ohhh::ohhh:

he knows the young god would lyrically son him:wow:

all future can do is sneak diss and not name names in fear of being obliterated:wow:

I would have never imagined a year ago that a 19 year old kid from Brooklyn would expose the entire Future hype. The casual fans are too fickle.

Naw the negus @Wenzel Dashington is on one here

Everyone is to blame

The young negus for not doing the history or following the protocols of good music... originality, creativity, technical mastery

The old heads for giving up and not trying to understand where these new kids are at or where they're coming from

The broads for encouraging rappers to sing and singers to rap.... essentially forcing the two genres to mix like a toddler pouring his Juicy Juice into his plate :francis:

The industry for going off of metrics rather than what's good, and not developing, managing or PAYING artists

EVERYBODY dropped the ball, and this mumblemouth, "go get the spoon I think hes having a seizure", completely void of self-awareness and swag ass nikka topping the charts is the product.

"Back in my day nikkas like Desiigner used to get stuffed into basketball hoops!"

Lol@ all them dusty nikkas who sat up in the studio for weeks getting their budgets assraped by Hebe label execs while writing similes, metaphors, stories, punchlines and shyt in a little notebook.:umad:

:win:nikkas mumbling now. Kids waiting at the bus stop with their headphones on, straight mumbling. They homeboy/homegirl walk up, they start mumbling together loud as hell. Whole crowds mumbling at shows with they lighters up.

Yo :russ:

The basic speech pattern is being broken down. Straight cavemen status.

i'm not in the business of blaming women for everything like yall do. BUT... we gone act like we didnt get that article awhile back talking about how songs are getting airplay? they are getting from an established dj crew. who runs the songs thru the strip club(s). the strippers are choosing the songs. these strippers are women, who are usually drunk and high. This is why the music sounds drunk and high singing. you dont really care what you hear when you're faded and blown out of your mind, especially if you're both of those and you in a strip club strippin.

this is WHY the quality of the music is so low. look at the tase testers. the beta testers are pushing this stuff and then it gets to the rest of us as a underground hit. everyone likes to be the first on the next one from nowhere. bam now a star is born. another mumble mouth autotune half trap rapper, half drill rapper wanna be, half singing autotune heavy artist.

the new era dudes have allowed women to tell them whats hot and whats not.

women for the most part dont love hiphop like men do. they will listen to it for the fun in it. some...some really are into it. now all of them will aknowledge a rappers greatness when its explained to them by some dude thats all into hiphop and the words. ladies for some reason LOVE SINGING. they love things to be extra simple in their music so They themselves can sing along to it. To do that for every rap song. You have to more or less dumb it down. or else you run the risk of not allowing a song to be Singy enough for a lady to like it. you do that and it wont get chosen at the strip club. and it will never drop. and you another underground rapper with all sorts of talent that only 2 people know about. So yes the ladies are chosen this wack music. but its dudes faults for allowing to happen this way.

:wow:

These thots ruin anything with integrity or complexity.
