True. The tests are out there, and if it turns out your chick is preg with a down syndrome baby or a baby that could have autism or something, would you want her to abort the child?

I seen parents with kids with down syndrome, they basically have to baby their kid from birth to death, that no way to live and that kid don't even know they alive

The child will most def need around the clock care for their whole life, but they can and often do learn skills that could help them in everyday functioning. Of course they know they are alive! They will just always be behind developmentally.

I know I personally couldn't abort a special needs child... I dont have it in me

I have a cousin who's special needs, and my boy's little brother is too. Both are confined to wheel chairs and pretty much need help with everything. When they're kids, it doesn't bother you as much.....especially if you have other children in the house. You dont notice it as much. But when all your kids grow up and start leaving for college, getting married, making their way out into the world, and you're still stuck with that last kid who'll never be able to leave your side.........you realize its a lifelong commitment

True@ a lifelong commitment. They arn't able to experience life the way one is naturally supposed to. I feel bad for both parties in such said situations. Idk.. this type ish is tough.
Hopefully neither one of us ever has to hear news that our child in utero is going to turn out that way.

My adult sister is disabled for life and a huge burden. Actually she regressed and is less capable now than she was in her teens. My mom is over 70 and can't even put her in supported living because she's scared the nurses would try to kill her. Sometimes I wonder if she would have chose to raise her if she had known it was going to be like this.
