Seeing as how today is also Robert E. Lee day solely out of spite, I'd say they hate us and everything we stand for, gone through and going through.:manny:

Cacs didn't hand over civil rights because of sympathy, but because of fear. For them it was either MLK or the militants.

Always remind other non-blacks of that.
MLK Actually said as much. He said that he wouldn't have been able to operate if there wasn't the stick that was the likes of people like Malcolm X. They brought the muscle.

Also MLK wasn't really all that passive. If you read his letter from Birmingham Jail, there is a lot of "militancy" there. His tactics were just different.

In the same letter ,he says white liberals are worse enemies to black people than hardcore racists because he said that their meandering on fighting for civil rights and not being fully committed allowed whites in general to the feel the right amount of comfort that they are not vitriolic racists but at the same time the complacency stalls any progress for black civil rights.

At least the vitriolic racists make themselves so heinous that it motivates blacks and some whites to act.
