How long have latin frats and sororities been a thing?
I've just now heard about them in 2025
Maybe theyve been around a while, I just didnt know
ON a side note, black sororities avg weight has increased 100 fold
Black fraternaties still look the same
they've been around since the 1930's.
the strolling and the imitation of bglos probably started in the 80's when phi beta sigma basically helped launch the latino fraternity sigma lambda beta. they may have been the first where you saw latins throwing up signs, doing calls, strolling, and stepping. they have a 'sister' org sigma lambda gamma. basically latino sigmas and zetas. and from what i hear, they all seem to claim a special relationship with the black orgs. but a coli sigma can speak better on this history, this is just what i gathered from attending a university with sigma lambda betas but no sigmas or zetas.
