It seems as if guys only like the chase. Once you show interest back they run off. That has been the case for me and many of my friends. This probably the reasoning behind this.

if he messages you to start a convo...its perfectly understandable if you take a while to reply because he doesnt know what youre up to. You might be at work, sleeping, whatever. But if you reply...he replies promptly and you still insist on taking a long time to reply then it just hinders the progression of the conversation to the point where most dudes who arent thirsty wont bother.

All guys, and people for that matter, are different. If you want to pursue a relationship of substance, you need to deal with grown men who you can be genuine and real with.
