How would letting republicans win help us get tangibles/reparations? This week has shown that even if the democrats passed a reparations bill, the republicans would challenge it and send it to the Supreme Court. And the the Supreme Court would block it

This whole situation highlights really one thing. In order for minorities to get what they’re looking for in the political field, they would need complete support and compliance from both sides in perpetuity.

Think about this, Roe v Wade stood for 60 years and was undone that easily. Anything we get could be handled the same way concerning our grandkids.

This system is broken and inherently flawed. Completely. You get a more balanced court 20 years from now and they restore Affirmative Action ok. What happens 20 years after that? There is no safe haven for us in that world. We’re trying to find security in something that wasnt built to serve us.

What do you do, when the majority chooses not to agree with you? That is how the system works. This is America, this is what it wants. You are outvoted. It’s got nothing to do with how many of you show up and vote, as a minority it would never be enough people showing up to vote if the majority that outnumbers you wants the smoke.
