Had to drop the difficulty for a second until I got used to the damn speed of the game.

Also dropped the aim speed as I kept turning past the enemies too quickly. Mind you I’m coming from Resident Evil to this so the speed is something I gotta get used to

On stage 6 now. It's crazy because in Doom 2016 you eventually get so decked out and upgraded that even though they are increasing the amount of enemies and making tough enemies spawn more often, you're ahead of the curve usually and can handle them pretty easily.

In this one, even after getting a good amount of upgrades, you're still getting your ass kicked and scrambling around. Like I got fully upgraded ammo and good runes/suit upgrades for ammo pickups but I still run out of ammo a lot.

Which fast pace third person shooters are there? I remember Vanquish

Not many because third person shooters by nature are cover based, not a lot of people even like third person shooters nowadays.

i liked 2016 a bit more this feels different i'll keep going though.

I prefer the gunplay and atmosphere of 2016 more but this game is a lot better as an overall experience because the platforming, secrets and the hub base.

Game is straight fire so far.
Playing the game on hard feels great.
You definitely can’t stay still at all. The ammo is limited but it’s done so to force you to stay engaged and use your chainsaw to re-up quickly.
People that want to fall back and pick off enemies a few at a time are going to have the hardest time with this game. You have to get in there and get messy. Im impressed with how much action is going on at once and the game stays silky smooth.

I'm halfway through this game and beat a slayer gate that made me have to cut this shyt off for the night. A nikka is physically exhausted after playing this shyt

There is just neverending action to the point where you feel like you gotta chill out and unwind for a bit. I'm enjoying the game, but this shyt don't let up. I'm at the point now where the first boss is just a regular enemy that they throw at you.

I’m playing on XB1X.
I can’t speak for performance on the other platforms but this game looks great, feels great, and performs beautifully.
I will say that in terms of graphics, it isn’t a major improvement over the previous one BUT, the amount of action is night and day. It can’t be overstated how great of a job they did running a game this smooth with graphics that look as good as it does. I beat the previous doom about 3 or 4 times and I can see myself doing the same thing with this one.
