this was actually in 88, shyt was bangin in the club. King of Chill still works with DJ Premier, he did a lot of early Lyte stuff. Group was dope but First Priority was a pretty shytty label from most accounts outside of Lyte/Audio Two.

First Priority compilation album is classic.

I was really anticipating All of the Above off the strength of his first album and I have to say it was one of the biggest letdowns to me as far as rap albums. I think thats when I expected him to take off. To be fair, the album has aged well and may have been a bit before its time for me to dig it....you are right though, he does get kind of boring sometimes. Like I said, he is like Black Thought but without the range. Hush the Crowd was my shyt.
