Hands down Dope is a fukkin classic
from the soundtrack they play to the story line

I was interested in the movies premise and it being inglewood in the 90's I though there should be lots of fukkery then saw the trailer and was like mehhh 
like that movie coming out where the rich dude gets put into another body...it kinda got dumb they should have froze him and showed when he awoke on some vanilla skyy shyt but they went another route and its corny

as a matter a fact that it did so well on RT makes me skeptical. funny thing will be seeing if cacs come to a diverse area to see the movie now that it got good RT reviews, movies like ride along, friday are never in the theaters in the... burbs at least where i live

I was iffy about the movie at first i aint gon lie. Went seen it Friday and i aint mad at it, they did they thing. Only thing i aint like about it was the hipster flattop swag dude had but overall the movie was good if you open minded about it just taking it for what it is and who they aiming for. it was weird seeing a NY nikka chillin on a lowrider on a cali street . The whole white boy sayin nikka scenes were cringe worthy being the whole theatre was filled with whites and mexicans.

Movie was good, but I won't consider this a "Black" movie. Movie doesn't add anything to the culture like The Wood did, nor is it relatable.
I think if Vince Staples, ASAP Rocky, and Diddy son were the main 3, this movie would be a classic. None of the characters seemed comfortable or natural saying the N word minus Rocky and Diddy son. Being a "nerd" in the hood doesn't make you oblivious to the culture around you like the main dude. I know the being smart = being white was poking fun at old stereotypes but being smart doesn't = being a square . I like the main kid a lot and wish him the best in his career but I dont they utilized him good in this film, I also feel this film was aimed to non blacks compared to other movies which is why this is doing so good when it comes to reviews as it doesn't offended anyone and isn't of the culture thus there isn't elements of the film certain people won't understand. It made no sense to introduce the 90s rap element yet kids were in a Punk Band and seem disconnected with the culture around them.
Also aint no Indian dude calling me the N word.
