yea im actually making a beat right now. just use a maschine and an imac. don't have studio speakers either. usually just do the car test and make sure nothing sounds too out of place. but your beat sounds good...everything sounds clean. levels don't gotta be perfect...it's about the sound you're happy with. to me, this sounds like some rough j dilla shyt. I can definitely hear elzhi killin this.

The hi hats are ok

Only reason I can tell the kicks are too loud is because I'm kick bass heavy myself

I can cosign the loud kicks. Simply because I can hear them through the shytty laptop speakers Im using which normally doesn't pick up those low frequencies unless they're super turnt up
