He was separating himself from the main people on Death Row. Daz and Quik were the main producers there, and they were running with Snoop & co., which Pac wasn't rockin' with at the time. He started dealin' with the producers that the rest of Death Row weren't gettin' at for tracks (cause they were busy gettin' at Daz n'them). According to one dude from that team, they were considered "wack" at Death Row cause they were new, unknown, and weren't being called on to do work... but soon as nikkas heard what they were doing with Pac, nikkas started complaining that they were only giving tracks to Pac. He gave them a shot cause he was looking for someone other than the people he had already worked with.
