I thought this article was going to touch on Ja being an a$$hole and having no one to fall back on on his way down. Wish I could remember which Breakfast Club interview it was but DJ Envy talked about it. It's like 50 today. He pissed so many people off that between that and his music just not being up to par, the industry just doesn't want to see him succeed musically anymore.

No he was just corny not before his time. Jarule singing is the worst shyt I ever heard. He made a lot of corny music and he couldn't come back from it. You can be pop without being corny
This is where you're wrong.

Ja wasn't corny at all

Whats corny about "Put it on me?"

Song is one of the OG bonnie and clyde type joints.

Furthermore, in today's climate he would be considered an elite/top tier rapper.

People today actually fukk with Big Sean, Wale, Drake and bunch of whack ass nikkas that aren't even worth mentioning..... Ja Rule > any of those nikkas.

Simple and plain.... It's not that dude didn't not have talent or didn't make good music, it's just that he came at a time where people weren't open to new shyt like people are now.

Today, people don't give a fukk - they will play anything as long as the beat is knocking... Migos? Fetty Wap? :mjlol:

I still want to see the nikka succeed and make music. I still fukks with him.

This article is stupid. 50 Ethered Ja's career plain and simple. All those crossover hits were still played heavy in the streets. He didn't lose credibility with his core audience for dropping more pop based music.
no he didnt
if someone can find it, there was an episode of 106 and park where Ja Rule Debut'd that Reign is Murder shyt
and the audience dawged him out
he wasnt there
but free and aj would ask muthafukkas how they felt about a song when it came out and theyd say this this and that
and they shyt on him
people were tired of him long before 50 started shyttin on him
and ironically 50 Ended up following the same fukkin formula
goofy ass rappin muthafukkas

Idgaf what anybody says - Ja Rule made great music! The replay value on some of his songs is insane. With that said, I was in 7th. grade in 2003 and I remember his demise pretty clearly - that shyt had nothing to do with being him pop. That nikka went from being on top of the Hip-Hop world to being booed out of award shows in like 6 months and it was 100% due to 50 Cent blowing up and going in on him. People are dikkriders:yeshrug:
