The Compton album was the Detox album but it wasn’t what people expected

this was always my theory as well. Talking to My Diary was a beat from way back so it wasn’t new music. Check out this commercial from 2010.

the idea that Compton was all new material inspired by the movie was false. It was Dre taking away the expectations of Detoz but still giving the fans something for waiting.

Let's stay on topic.

This has what to do with Daz?
I didn’t bring up Daz, but if you think Dre produces records on his own you’re mistaken, it’s always a collaborative effort, and honestly there’s nothing wrong with that. Dre is probably the greatest mix engineer of all time and has an impeccable ear but as he stated himself he likes to come in when a record is about 75% done and then add his touch. It’s been this way his entire career, Ruthless era he relied heavily on Hutch, Chris The Glove and Yella, Chronic owes huge credit to Colin Wolfe with some assistance from Daz and Warren, Doggystyle would not have been what it was without Warren, Daz, Emanuel Dean etc, the rest of his Row era beats relied heavily on Sam Sneed, Sean Thomas and others, his early Aftermath tracks are piggybacked off Stu B Doo, Chris The Glove, Bud’da etc. Chronic 2001s sound was largely shaped by Mel Man and Scott Storch, plus a host of session players and it remains the same up til today with Focus, Dem Jointz and a host of others. Dre is great at what he does but let’s not act like he’s on the same level as someone like Quik who can play all the instruments and build something from scratch. shyt, arguably Dre’s biggest beat is In Da Club and those are Quiks drums. Is Dre the greatest Co-Producer of all time? Probably, yeah, but you can’t name a hit he’s had that didn’t have at least 1 other person sharing in a bulk of the creation. As for “laughing at” Daz production work post Death Row and where’s his hits, personally I think Daz has stayed dope as a producer his entire career, he’s also been an independent artist for the past 20 plus years with zero push from labels or mainstream media so it’s kinda unfair to compare his success based off Dre’s which has been backed by the biggest machine for almost 30 plus years and still only resulted in 3 albums. Oh...and Detox ain’t never dropping by the way.

Imagine they were in there blasting music while he’s dealing with issues to the brain.

Literally not a single one of those artists except Cube

You out of your mind if you think Dre is going to drop an album and Kendrick Lamar ain’t on it.

A three Kings type track with Dre, Hov, and Nas would be :blessed:

Game still raps his ass off when focused.

Marsia Ambrosia has one of the prettiest voices and is an excellent writer.

Anderson.Paak could bring some funk to the proceedings
