if he didnt..prove me wrong by posting an album nikka

Chronic 2 slumps 3/4ths into the album but picks up towards the end. Dre rapping about the same shyt doesnt qualify as "raising the bar." Chronic had a skit of people fukking........ chronic 2 he had a skit of people fukking. Skits of people fukking was a popular thing in the 90's. How u raising the bar rapping about the same shyt?

Question for you...what did Dre actually say on this album that was next level? :jbhmm:

2007 was Hip Hops decline. You had Soulja boy who was the Godfather of Youtube rap, and opened the doors for gimmicky artists to get exposure.Wayne didn't help either with his lolipop and rockstar garbage.:scust:
2005 actually. Snap/crunk and Laffy taffy all broke down the quality of hip hop atleast in the mainstream. 2007 was just the nail in the coffin and every year since has been pissing on its grave

Yeah, Puffy is definitely a legend
From being a backup dancer to his days as an intern at Uptown and working w/ Mary and Jodeci
To then forming Bad Boy and working w/ Craig Mack, Biggie, Lil Kim, Total, 112, Ma$e, The Lox, Carl Thomas etc etc
He seem like a true blue ass, but I can't front like he ain't a hard worker and mover and a shaker.
He's worked really hard to get where at.

That might be true but the shiny suit era didn’t do hip hop any favors although I understood it’s purpose was to clean up hip hop’s image after that east/west shyt

Yeah
But shyt, even before the shiny suit era, Puffy had already dropped and been involved in a number of classics from Mary, to Craig to Biggie, to 112.
Jodeci too!
But I hear u tho

The things Dead Prez were saying on this album just a few months after Chronic 2 dropped was next level bar raising.

There is nothing on Chronic 2 that is on the content level of Dead Prezs 1st album...absolutly nothing. Again that Dead Prez album dropped right after Chronic 2.
