I don't see how/why they would need him to make music for a game like that. Not that anybody knows a thing about the game. But from the fake videos they posted years ago, how does Dr.Dre fit into a fantasy world like that? I hope its not forced like Drake in those Assassins Creed commercials :patrice:

Dr. Dre Interview with Big Boy’s Neighborhood [Audio]
Submitted by admin on Nov 22nd, 2013

Dr. Dre checked in with Big Boy’s Neighborhood on Power 106 this morning.

He talked about his Beats Music Service called “Daisy” (the service from Beats is in the making and should launch by the end of this year), Fuzzy West and Eminem’s studio album, and discusses how he got involved with Sony on making music for one of there highly anticipated (and often delayed) games.
I omitted the non videogame parts of the interview because it was a long read
Dr. Dre also said, that he feels inspired again to make music. “I just got inspired again to go back in the studio. So, I’m really just having fun with life and having fun being creative and trying some new and different things with myself man, just trying to stay active. As you know, it’s been almost thirty years for me in music, so it’s a little bit difficult to keep getting inspired to get back in there, but you know music is my first love and I’ma continue to do that as long as I can.”

So what inspired Dr.Dre to get back into the studio? Surprisingly to probably most of you, it was Sony who reached out to Dr.Dre and asked if they could use some of his music from the often delayed "Detox" in The Last Guardian. Dr.Dre was hesitant at first, but after having actual time with the game he said the story, characters and environment made him want to make music especially for that. To expand his reach onto new mediums. I think he's onto something. If pulled off correctly, his music will remain with us forever. That's his motivation he says. "I want to create more than just rap music, I want to be known as a composer if you will. I want my music to be as recognizable as the Super mario theme song"

Those are lofty aspirations good Dr., I just hope the game and the eventual album will deliever.

Missed the interview? Listen here.

Ghostface Killah says he and MF DOOM are currently choosing tracks for their collaborative album.

It seems that the wait for a collaborative album between Wu-Tang Clan emcee Ghostface Killah and noted rapper/producer MF DOOM may soon be winding down.

While in Amsterdam for the Canibus Cup, Ghostface updated fans on the status of his album with DOOM, stating that the currently untitled project will be coming soon and that the duo is currently in the process of weeding their way through various tracks.

“Me and MF DOOM we got a project coming. I don’t know the name all the way yet, but you know it’s a Ghostface/Doom project,” Ghostface explained. “But yeah, we out here right now trying to put together the songs, the beats. To see which tracks we gonna finish using. We already got a bunch of stuff anyway. We just testing out the tracks. We’ll listen to him. We ain’t get to listen to them yet. He just flew in today.”

Ghostface further commented on the project’s delay, but revealed that “everything happens in God’s time” and encouraged fans to prepare themselves for the album’s release.

“I know ya’ll been wanting that shyt for the longest,” said Ghostface. “Since we did Fishscale and shyt. It’s right now. It been time, but everything happens in God’s time. You know what I mean? So we gon’ rock this for ya’ll. We gonna keep it moving. So y'all just stay tuned and prepare for it. Buckle your seat and let’s go, let’s get busy.”

No other specifics on the album, including a release date, were revealed during Ghostface’s interview.
