You're wrong. Larry Smith who produced Run-DMC & Whodini was wayyy more in the vein of a music producer like Quincy Jones than Timberland.

Dre's a musical producer on a whole nother level, which is why he's the GOAT.

Why you think that everybody he touches (with few exceptions) goes out and changes the game.

Dude's even put his hands on Kendrick Lamar and dude is out here making all-time great albums.
