Nothing is 100% correct, I’m sure Dre did much more than being a glorified engineer a lot of times, but not enough to continuously place him on lists with nikkas like Premo, for instance, whose been making tracks almost just as long, but has also did most of the leg work, sample choosing, drum choosing, sample chopping, etc. at the same time.

You won’t find any beats produced by his contemporaries like Quik, Battlecat, as well as the east coast and down south producers, done in the same manner over the same period of time.
