Dre really does have back to back albums that are CLASSICS....

And can really understand why he don't wanna drop Detox..all that pressure..

But at the same time..if he didn't want to drop it..he should have kept his mouth shut

Dallas by way of Houston by way of San Antonio

we said then: One cut, "Lil Ghetto Boy," could go but that's about it...Overall, an innovative and progressive hip-hop package. (Feb 93)

What we say now: Dre's lovely, funk-laden, Cali-scorched beats on The Chronic set a standard for production that has never been exceeded. And with fellow Death Row inmates Snoop, Daz and Kurupt spitting smooth, gang-affiliated venom on every track, this ode to California living has become one of the greatest hip-hop albums ever created - "Lil Ghetto Boy" included.

Lil Ghetto Boy might be the best song on the album. How that held it back from 5 mics I'll never know. That was Snoop at his best, the smooth flow with substance to his lyrics. Snoop's jail and crime stories like this were always top notch- Murder Was the Case is another. Too bad he didn't go to that well very often.

I feel like Kurupt's verse on Stranded on Death Row should be talked about the way AZ's is on Life is a bytch...if it aint already

I agree, he put unecessary pressure on himself, for no reason :pachaha:

Just think, there's over 100 songs made for Detox, and we probably won't ever hear them, but we heard I Need A Doctor :pacspit:
