Yeah, I hold to debates being mandatory under a more serious format, so I can't say Fetterman should have skipped this... But what the fukk was his campaign thinking? :mjlol: The polls are tight as fukk, this might translate to a victory for Oz.

He would have been better off making some excuse and not even attending the debate. There was no reason for him to come here. He had nothing to gain and everything to lose.

I wonder if he could have skipped it and still done well at the polls, I think they only entertained it because Oz wouldn't shut up about him being incapable of making it through a debate.

Damn, I swear what I'm watching now is worse than the idea of voters thinking Fetterman wasn't fit for office, in truth, that skipped debate news primarily reaches political junkies, the average voter likely doesn't run into that news and if they do, they need Oz to draw conclusions from it, so another buffer on that.

so walker could get up there sounding like a 4 year old and that was a win but fetterman lost? yall stay tellin on yourselves

When I watch a debate, I try to pretend I'm the average voter. You ask me, HRC won her debates with flying colors, ask the average voter and it was a tossup, and political analysts overwhelming favored HRC. There are so many variables to consider, primarily GA and PA being different states, so what you are concluding doesn't make much sense. Republicans don't care about Walker sounding dumb, their president was dumb, but the tight group are the moderates, you need to look through their eyes, there is a reason polling has been trending in favor of Oz, Oz has done nothing but harp on the health of Fetterman, everything else he did was what contributed to him getting thrashed in the polls before.

This is a different argument, you were originally criticizing people for suggesting Fetterman lost the debate, I was giving clarification on why people could see it that way, I think everyone in this thread consistently trashes Republicans, they were just viewing the debate from a neutral standpoint.

But on this comment, bro, just try canvassing either on the streets or phone, you will quickly get your answer to that question. Hell, if moderates were as reasonable as you suggest, we would be looking at an entirely different country. :mjlol:

edit:

And bro, being as cordial as possible, if your sentiment were true, polls would be overwhelming favoring Fetterman, they aren't.

the way you constructed your argument was republicans dont care if their president is dumb, therefore moderates do and ie, arent dumb

i cant give leeway to the same nikkas thinking walker won cause he strung together 3 sentences without an issue

if the bar was set low for walker, it was set low for fetterman. both states are full of dumbasses, pennsylvania outside the major cities might as well be georgia itself. the reason nikkas are switching it up now is obvious

Understand, you originally came in here saying people were "telling on themselves" for suggesting Oz won the debate. I assumed you were suggesting we were playing "both sides" or somehow being hypocritical even though we (I, at least) aren't, so I was responding to that notion. On the moderates, as I have already said, these are two completely different states, completely different variables at play, the polls have been trending to Oz since Fetterman reappeared following his stroke. If moderates were this reasonable bunch, the polls would have Fetterman up significantly like he was before Oz started harping on his health.

The two comparisons you are drawing can't be taken seriously, thinking the bar for Walker, a Republican in GA, applies to Fetterman, a Democrat in PA, is honestly silly as hell. Moderates aren't just people that identify as moderate, it's people that don't have a consistent voting record for either party and are likely to vote one way or another, your undecideds. I never said moderates aren't dumb, if you are undecided in 2022, you are dumb, plain and simple. Me suggesting Republicans are dumb doesn't lead to the logical conclusion that everyone else is smart, it only speaks to the state of Republicans, so not sure what you are trying to string together.

Honestly, I don't even know what you are getting at, at this point, you came in here just insulting everyone and now you are developing new arguments with every response. I really don't care for anything you have to say about politics, you are just spitballing following an odd assumption, we have the data, it conflicts with whatever you trying to say.
