‘Dr. Phil’ ending after 21 seasons, what have we all learned?

Never watched it but the format of these kind of shows is a cross between "Hey folks! Lets laugh at the village idiot" crossed with Romans throwing people in the lions den to watch them get ripped to shreds along with a liberal sprinkle of voyeurism dressed up in false righteousness/pretending to help.

In many ways the prototype that set off the internet mindset as its all the same just all the time and bigger with a mob roaming looking for a place to vent.

Black Philip on the other hand did the flip and doled out wisdom dressed as entertainment to make you think, flip the script and laugh as well.

PBS Kids has been awful for years now.

Jenny Jones and Ricki Lake are probably somewhere chilling

Soap Operas fell ALLLLL the way off.

Remember watching the ABC ones back in the day. Kinda makes sense now though.

If I'm a kid/teen/college kid with free time on a weekday (holidays, sick, skipping school)....would you rather boot up the PS5 and play video games, maybe watch HBO Max or Netflix....or watch Dr. Phil?

Too many options now. Plus, any ridiculous topic they'd talk about could easily be found on YouTube, with 50-11 different videos and points of view.

Oprah went downhill as soon as she showed support for President Obama. White women turned on her fast even when a good chunk of white broads voted for him in '08. It reminded them that Ms. Winfrey is a Black woman where before "they didn't see her color."
