cliffnotes?
Sounds like it might be similar to this book:He speaks of the failure of identity politics and how identity politics gets in the way for historical facts when it comes to making theory.
Tommy Curry stats that morality gets corrupts theory because morality makes certain assumptions and presume certain truths of the world.
So a lot of Black studies isn't historical or factual...it is just a bunch of academics defending their identity and promoting morality

I saw almost every video of him talking on YOUTUBE....
I just can't wait until he releases a book...![]()
Link didn't work, but yeah that's the book. I borrowed it from the library but I'm only about 60 pages in so far. Definitely saying things that don't get expressed publicly about how there are some black people who are fukking up the cause. You talking about Losing the Race - Self-Sabotage in Black America?
Berkeley linguistics professor John McWhorter, born at the dawn of the post-Civil Rights era, spent years trying to make sense of this question. Now he dares to say the unsayable: racism's ugliest legacy is the disease of defeatism that has infected black America. Losing the Race explores the three main components of this cultural virus: the cults of victimology, separatism, and antiintellectualism that are making blacks their own worst enemies in the struggle for success.
More angry than Stephen Carter, more pragmatic and compassionate than Shelby Steele, more forward-looking than Stanley Crouch, McWhorter represents an original and provocative point of view. With Losing the Race, a bold new voice rises among black intellectuals.
