I spoke on this on here several years ago.
There was no sign whatsoever that Umar was serious about running the school.
-He lost his non-profit status around the time COVID hit and never tried to get it back.
-He never tried to have his school accredited.
-He never had a website for FDMG where people could access information for it.
-He never attempted to run an online school with digital courses when COVID hit.
-He never had any teachers, staff, faculty, and other employees/volunteers around him or being highlighted by him.
-We've rarely seen Umar work with Black boys or Black children in education even on a small-scale level, like volunteering at an afterschool program.
-He never had a real curriculum for his school. He just kept throwing out a whole bunch of ideas that sounded good in his mind.
-He turned down help from numerous people in his field including Lord Jamar's stepdad and King Randall.
-There were years where he didn't claim any of his donations on his tax returns.
-He barely spoke on the detailed plans for running the school in his numerous interviews yet he had whole vocal dissertations speaking on current events, celebrity gossip, dikk policing, addressing online drama, etc.
Umar is to FDMG what Jay Morrison is to the Tulsa Real Estate Fund. Both were pipe dreams concocted in their minds that they wanted for the clout and praise of it all while not actually wanting to get involved in the work necessary to make it a reality.
In fact, there's growing signs that Umar was/is more interested in being a pro-Black influencer than an actual educator/principal/businessman.
And I think his prior beef with Tariq boiled down to that. He didn't like the shine Tariq was getting in the pro-Black space and got envious. He doubled down on turning himself into a meme after that fallout too.

I said before I donated to his school early. My son was in elementary school. This was when he was trying to get the property in Virginia! My son is in college now!
