are u black? :lupe:

I asked him that the other week or a few weeks ago when he started settin my radar off. He ignored it.

As soon as I asked he went away. I @'d him the next day or day after when I seen him active in another Discussion of interest. And still no response.

Which is why I had to point that out before he starts his tirade

If the rubber hit the road and Umar had the right applicable for PR issues, he'd turn some heads and open up some wallets. He could go far depending on how he applies himself and what his reasons are for what

But he's from New York, you should already know what it is if you hip to the situation.

I don't think some of yall who've expressed your concerns over the years realize how insignificant they truly are :mjlol:. It really is a reach. Opposing views or not. You're talking about an Intellectual having a run in with a Stripper.

What exactly is there to hate on if he is who he say he is and he's legit about what he wants to do
He's from Philly though, polar opposite from the situation in NYC. But I agree people don't have a real reason to hate on him, not 1 at all. Right now he's sounding more credible than Tariq Nasheed because you can tell he's serious about this. With Tariq it sounds like he's more intested with pushing his HC sales and lecture attendances

Im sure if he could get a Doctorate in African Studies if he talked to the right person.

And not to imply that anything is wrong with the opposite of what im about to say. But a "doctorate degree", isnt exactly a thing that anyone can Define other than us. And im talkin about the people who are more knowledgeable than me. With respect to the Tenors who oversee that department at their schools

We're too unique of a Study. There's alotta things going on and changes with us.

I respect those who disagree with that tho. It's just my opinion on it
What im saying is dude shouldnt say black kids shouldnt pledge to the flag but promote his degrees in the next breath. There have been plenty of black men and women who have died protecting, fighting for our rights and freedom for black people So if anyone has a right to pledge it us.

Tru.

Irregardless if Umar's from Philly and Tariq from Detroit or L.A., I still hold them both equally in high regard. Tariq's choice of wording shyt sometimes is a bit corny, but overall I think he's produced some great work.

Between the two of them if they got together with the right minds and associates. They could actually get something done.

Their only issue now that they have is presence. And of Funding constraints. They could manage tho. I don't see how not. They're intelligent

But they are biased. We dont have to associate with all whites...but we do have to associate with some. Any man who cant at least acknowledge that cant be at the forefront of anybodies movement. Even Huey was smart enough to use the Feds to stay ahead of thier games..

I feel you on that i guess. Over the years I've spoken to and listened to various Old Heads who were in Uniform about their experiences.

When I had a window to chime in. I always told them that they were fightin for our Liberties back here when they were deployed or active elsewhere.

I never got a bad reaction from that so I imagine they heard me.

Every Black Person who's ever been in Uniform we should appreciate. Even if they bombed or killed Africans.

They secure our Freedoms back over here. Just imagine what could've happened if we couldn't join their Military.

That's a pretty dark road to travel

Exactly. It's impossible for us to totally blacklist the dominate society in this country. We don't have that kind of economic base to do so. But we can use them to our advantage, we don't have to be allies but we can still use them to help us get what needs to be accomplished.

Blacks in the military really only became viable and endorsed when they had to draft for Vietnam though. Before then it was considered experimental and begrudgingly accepted

Economic inflitration by a means of highly educated black professionals...the drive to climb to the highest peak of the tree while staying true and never forgetting our roots.

Anyway. Who said anything about Boycotting all of everybody else? When the demographics of this Country would make it be more disruptful than what's useful or needed.

Im also mad at the fact that yall think Black Folks got no Land or Equities.

The reason why a Nazi style extermination couldn't work today because there's so much more in the way.

Some of think that we're in the 1960's. We're past some of the handicaps they had to deal with.

This aint Grandma's America anymore. This our Generation, we a little bit different. Respectfully implied of course
