This is a logical fallacy with nothing even imaginable to support it. King had a lot of critics in his own time, even some being black people. Difference is King actually had substance. Even in the times he failed, there was obvious movement towards that goal. Umar has been around for years now and he is still only at the "idea" part of this dream he is selling. MLK cheated on Coretta and it didn't diminish his legacy because his actions and the results from it just drown the noise about that out. Umar has nothing - no noteworthy achievement of that kind to stand on. Notice you keep talking about IDEAS but plenty of us have great IDEAS. And they are just that - IDEAS.

The donations that he's been asking for cover a lot more than just a building. For one he's looking to create a campus environment, with students and faculty living on the grounds. That costs money. He's trying to instill a curriculum that I've never heard any school having before including aviation, entrepeneurship, etc. That cost money. The material to teach said courses. The PROPER QUALIFIED instructors to teach said curriculum. They aint gonna come cheap. There are costs to maintain said campus the way he wants to see his vision come to life. Plumbing, electricity, repairs, renovations. All require money. But but all he gotta do is just buy a building like my friend did. That's your friends vision. Not his. The problem is this microwave society we live in. Everybody wanna see instant gratification on their investment. Darren Wilson became a millionaire on gofundme (allegedly for his legal defense) yet never went to trial. Are white ppl clamoring for their $ back and claiming they got hustled?

People KNOW building a school and getting education done correctly takes time. Asking for a business plan to analyze the timeline and keep track of things isn't asking for instant gratification, it's asking for ACCOUNTABILITY. what exactly is Umar saying that is so wise that you haven't heard before, or couldn't have thought up yourself? Like I want an honest breakdown of this without linking me to some youtube videos. Because most of what I hear him say is stuff that doesn't make me go but more . He has says sensible things but usually undermines it with misguided understanding of how the world works.

He's an educator that "knows" history but doesn't know economics. He's the same guy preaching about why we need to support black business and how we dont have our own shyt (ignoring those of us that do) but won't tell you in finite terms how to do it, where to find these people, what actually goes on economically and how money transfers between communities, or areas where black businesses really thrive. He is in essence the black version of CAC media that sells this negative image of black people with narratives that are based partially in truth and partially in bullshyt.
